The single lip drilling technology is carried out with single lip drillers. In our factories single lip drillers from D0.5 mm until D40 mm are used. Here, a drilling depth up to 4000 mm can be achieved.
Using this technology the cooling lubrication is pumped inside the drill due to high pressure. In the work piece, the cooling lubrication mixes with the chips. This mixture is discharged through the bead of the single lip driller.
Also two lip drillers can be employed in our factories.
The BTA (Boring and trepanning association) technology works with specially shaped drillers, which themselves consist of a hole in the middle. This technology is suitable for machining of large work pieces and is used for D20 mm to D400 mm. A depth of up to 5000 mm can be reached.
By using this technology the cooling lubrication is supplied under high pressure between the bore wall and drill pipe. In the work piece, the cooling lubrication mixes with the chips. This mixture is discharged through the internal bore in the drill.
