Deep hole drilling

Deep hole drilling with the highest precision

Deep hole drilling: Our extensive machine park with over 40 deep-hole drilling machines, lathes and milling machines enables us to process aluminum, steel in any alloy, including copper, brass, Inconel, titanium, stainless steel and plastics and similar materials.

With our many years of experience in deep hole drilling, we machine rollers, godets, shafts, housings, gears, cylinders, sleeves, bushings, plates, clamping elements, piston rods, hydraulic tubes and much more.

Since 1986, we have been drilling in individual and series production for customers from the medical technology, plant engineering, mechanical engineering, turbine construction, automotive industry, paper industry, plastics industry, hydraulics industry, shipping industry, petrochemical industry and power plant industry, which we can count as long-standing customers.

For our customers from all over the world, we are happy to conduct service trials for deep hole drilling of special workpieces. In addition, our service also includes the further processing of your workpieces. We are supported by certified partner companies for honing, grinding and quenching and tempering as well as functional logistics to guarantee delivery times at all times. Discipline and responsibility towards our customers is our highest priority, this coupled with our experience guarantees a superior performance and satisfied customers.

Deep drilling method

EFA procedure

The ELB process is performed with single-lip drills. Single-lip drills from Ø 0.5 mm to Ø40 mm are used in our plants. This involves drilling to a depth of up to 4000 mm. In this process, the cooling lubricant is pumped inside the drill by high pressure. The cooling lubricant mixes with the chips in the workpiece. This mixture is then discharged through the bead of the single-lip drill.

We can also use double lip drills.

BTA process

The BTA (Boring and Trepanning Association) process uses specially shaped drills that have a hole even in the center. This process is suitable for machining larger workpieces and is used in the range Ø18 mm to Ø400 mm. A depth of up to 12,000 mm can be achieved.

In this process, the cooling lubricant is supplied under high pressure between the bore wall and the drill pipe. The cooling lubricant mixes with the chips in the workpiece. This mixture is discharged through the inner bore in the drill.

Service attempts

Tests result in certainty: every material behaves differently and every task is customer-specific. For many practice-related questions, only tests generate a clear statement. For our customers from all over the world, we are happy to conduct service trials for deep hole drilling of special workpieces.

Rush production
